Vajrapradama mudra (sometimes vajrapradana mudra) is the
“gesture of unshakable trust,” or “unswerving confidence.”
How to do it: Sit in a comfortable position with a tall spine. Bring your hands in front of your heart and interlace your fingers at the top-most knuckle. Extend your thumbs upward. Rest your hands to your heart.
One meaning of the word vajra is “thunderbolt.” The thunderbolt is a mythic weapon that conquers self-doubt and also represents an initiation.
Vajra also means “diamond.” And in the Buddhist tradition refers to the Diamond Body. Through the processes of our practices and life, we can refine our physical and energetic bodies to great clarity, strength, and radiance – like a diamond.
Benefits of Vajrapradama Mudra: Vajrapradama mudra builds self-confidence and inner strength. It deepens our trust in ourselves, as well as in the unknown, the great Mystery.
