In the darkness, we have the opportunity to rest, restore, and rejuvenate. As the dark, fertile soil nourishes the roots of a plant to support its growth, we can find nourishment when we rest into our depths. As we come to this darkest time of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the time when nature quiets and slows down, we can drop into this rhythm within ourselves in a great embrace of the dark.

Beginning with some time in contemplation and meditation, we’ll then move through a slow, steady practice, resting our awareness within, opening our hips, with a focus on seated poses and forward folds.

All levels.

Have a blanket, a strap, and a block or two – or anything that substitutes as a prop. And a journal and a pen, optional.
